It is an exciting time at 5 Tool with several terrific camps, classes and clinics in addition to private lessons, team practices and cage rentals. We don’t want you to miss a minute of it – so here is a complete list our upcoming opportunities:


Indoor Teeball – Begins January 9
For athletes ages 4-6, 5 Tool’s indoor Teeball league is an introduction to baseball and softball. Played on Saturday mornings, the league is coached by 5 Tool’s expert instructors who will teach the fundamentals of the game while having fun!

High School Hitting and Fielding Class – Begins January 10
Make sure you are ready to play this spring by joining 5 Tool’s Hitting and Fielding Class! Designed for high school players, the class will include 30 minutes each of hitting and fielding, taught in 5 week sesssions.

Held on Sundays, softball will be from 1:30-2:30 p.m. and baseball will be from 2:30-3:30 p.m.

Pitching Academy with BSU’s Josh Johnson – Begins January 11
5 Tool Academy is pleased to offer an exceptional opportunity for softball pitchers with a 5-week pitching class lead by Josh Johnson, BSU’s softball pitching coach. Taught on Mondays, the class will run from January 11 – February 8. Each session lasts one hour and enables athletes to refine their pitching skills with a top-rated coach.

Infield Class – Begins January 12
Every winning team requires solid defense. Learn how to play excellent infield at 5 Tool!

5 Tool Academy offers an outstanding infield class led by Tony Dungan on Tuesdays from 7:30-9 p.m. Open to baseball and softball athletes ages 6-17, this group format will focus on the skills needed to successfully play infield. 

Tony is a respected coach with more than 15 years of experience. He has coached with several organizations including Indiana Prospects, Indiana Bulls and Indiana Longhorns. Several of his players have been recruited to play at D1 schools. He also has taught infield for several years at area facilities.

Total Player Development Class – Begins January 13
For athletes wanting to develop all of their skills this offseason, 5 Tool is pleased to offer the Total Player Development Class for both softball and baseball. 

Taught on Wednesdays in 5-week sessions, every 90 minute class will offer 30 minutes each of fielding, hitting and pitching or catching. As an alternative, players may opt out of the pitching/catching portion. Class for ages 7-9 is 5:30-7 p.m. and ages 10-13 is 7-8:30 p.m.

Baseball Catching Academy with BSU’s Rhett Goodmiller – Begins January 14
Ball State Baseball Assistant Coach Rhett Goodmiller will lead a 5-week academy for middle and high school baseball catchers.

Held January 14 – February 11 on Thursdays at 7 p.m., each one-hour session will develop athletes catching skills as well as their ability to lead the game from behind the plate.
