Daily Fielding Drill

Sometimes the best drills are also the simplest. Throwing a ball against a wall or garage door and fielding it builds foundational mechanics. Fielding 100 ground balls a day will do wonder for your game! And best of all, it is a drill you can do without a partner and minimal equipment.

But learn from our son’s mistake and don’t use an actual baseball or softball! (By the number of dents in our garage door, I think he completed the drill the required 100 reps!) A tennis ball or rubber ball likely is the easiest to find in your garage but foam practice softballs or baseballs are widely available.

Practice makes perfect – and this is an easy daily drill to complete at home!
