5 Tool Academy is pleased to offer an exceptional opportunity for softball pitchers with a 5-week pitching class lead by Josh Johnson, BSU’s softball pitching coach.

Johnson is an experienced NCAA Division I coach with Super Regional experience. He also plays at the Major level of the North American Fastpitch Association (NAFA) since 2004 as both a pitcher and an outfielder. He was inducted into the NAFA Hall of Fame in 2013 and was the association’s MVP in 2014.

In addition to his current position as Ball State’s pitching coach, he was previously the pitching coach at the University of Texas at El Paso, Univeristy of Louisana-Lafayette and served as the head coach at Faulkner State Community College where he was the winningest coach in the program’s history.

Taught on Mondays, each class lasts one hour and enables athletes to refine their pitching skills with a top-rated coach. High school athletes will meet at 7 p.m. and athletes in Grades 3-8 will meet at 8 p.m. Cost is $135 for all 5 classes and includes a shirt. The first academy will be November 30 – December 28 and the second academy will be January 11 – February 8.
