5 Tool Academy is pleased to announce Zach Tanner and Rhett Goodmiller have joined 5 Tool Academy as baseball instructors. Both bring a weath of baseball experience both as athletes and as coaches.

Zach Tanner

Zach Tanner played professionally in the Frontier League following a successful college career at Wright State University and Lincoln Trail Community College. As a junior at Wright State he was named MVP of the Horizon League tournament and completed his senior season with 58 hits, 26 runs and 30 RBI’s in 47 games. Prior to his collegiate career, he played for Yorktown High School where is was a two-time All-State selection and team MVP for three years. Tanner also coached at Owens Community College in Toledo, Ohio and at Indiana Wesleyan University. He is available for hitting and fielding lessons.

Rhett Goodmiller

Rhett Goodmiller is an assistant coach at Ball State University. He spent his collegiate career at Central Michigan and Taylor Unversity where he was a three-time all conference catcher and an NAIA All-American. He lead Taylor to three straight conference championships and national tournament appearances. Goodmiller was an outstanding high school catcher at Norwell high school where his 4A team won back-to-back state championships.  In addition to coaching at Ball State, Goodmiller also has coached for Taylor University and Indiana Eastlake Chargers as well as having earned a Master’s Degree from Western Kentucky University. He is available for catching, fielding and hitting lessons.
