5 Tool Academy is thrilled to announce new softball instructors joining our team, who are offering Summer Softball Camps for athletes ages 7-12.
If you have spent much time at 5 Tool over the past year, you know that we’ve been short-handed on softball instructors. Not only are we able to expand our softball instruction, but our team is also overwhelmed with the caliber of Mackenzie McCarty, Sammy Jo Mata, Jaz Armendariz and Deborah Jones. We are confident you will be too. More importantly, we believe these exceptional young women will have a positive impact on your daughter, developing both their athletic skills and their ability to win in life.
Summer Softball Camps
Hosted at the Yorktown Sports Park, camp will be offered from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. for three days, with an optional pitching or catching session from 12 -1 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The camp will focus on developing athletes’ skills and knowledge of the game in a fast-paced and fun atmosphere. It will cover hitting, base-running, infield, outfield and situational plays at an age-appropriate level.The optional pitching or catching sessions will focus on the specific skills needed to succeed in these critical positions, including the demanding mental aspects of pitching or catching.
We’ll wrap up camp with a group lunch at noon on Thursday, giving athletes a chance to interact socially with the instructors as well as one another. Cost is $99 and includes a 5 Tool shirt and the group lunch. The optional pitching or catching sessions are an additional $20.

Sammy Jo, Jaz and Mackenzie are available to teach lessons in hitting, bunting and defense. Jaz and Mackenzie also teach catching while Sammy Jo and Mackenzie offer introductory slapping lessons. To schedule a lesson, email info@5tool.net or call/text 765.730.4426.
