Josh Johnson, BSU’s softball pitching coach, is offering another 5-week Pitching Academy at 5 Tool beginning October 22.
Johnson is an experienced NCAA Division I coach with Super Regional experience. He also played at the Major level of the North American Fastpitch Association (NAFA) from 2004-2016 as both a pitcher and an outfielder. He was inducted into the NAFA Hall of Fame in 2013 and was the association’s MVP in 2014.
In addition to his current position as Ball State’s pitching coach, he was previously the pitching coach at the University of Texas at El Paso, University of Louisiana-Lafayette and served as the head coach at Faulkner State Community College where he was the winningest coach in the program’s history.
The 6 p.m. class is for athletes who have not yet worked with Coach Johnson while the 7 p.m. class is for those who have completed previous academies.
