Date/Time
Date(s) - 06/19/2018
9:00 am - 12:00 pm

The Elite Pitching and Catching Camp will be hosted on June 19 and is designed to teach advanced skills to pitchers and catchers ages 12-22. The camp will offer an advanced learning experience for all campers. Ball State softball coaches Josh Johnson and Mitch Roberts will lead each group utilizing their expertise as college-level coaches.

We will begin by learning about proper warm-up techniques as well as strength and conditioning maintenance to stay healthy. Catchers will focus on new age receiving techniques, drills and mechanics to make them better throwers, better blockers and higher level athletes. Pitchers will discuss maximizing optimum mechanics, how to create elite level spin, and the secret locations that win ball games.

Check-in takes place between 8:00 and 9:00 am and the camp itself runs from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. Cost is $100.

Camp will be hosted at:
Stephenson Park (next to Yorktown Middle School)
8820 W. Smith Street
Yorktown, IN 47396

In case of poor weather, camp will be moved indoor to:
5 Tool Academy
9000 W Smith Street

Athletes should wear softball pants, socks, shirt/jersey and cleats. Campers should bring turf or tennis shoes if the camp needs to be moved indoors.
