For high school baseball catchers looking to make a significant development in their skills this off-season, Joe Butts is leading a weekly class. This class will focus on physical mechanics as well as the mental component of the game specifically geared for catchers. The curriculum offers a comprehensive training program for the most demanding position – permitting catchers to progress through several levels of receiving, blocking, throwing, fielding, handling pitchers and calling the game.
Joe Butts was a 4-year starting catcher for Xavier University, with more than 15 years of coaching and teaching experience who enjoys sharing both his expertise and passion for the game.
Class will meet on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. from Dec 5 – March 11 (excluding Christmas and New Year’s). Class size is limited to ensure each athlete receives significant attention. Total cost of the class is $359 and including a 5 Tool shirt. Athletes may pay for the class upfront or place a credit card on file to be charged weekly.
