5 Tool has always been blessed with expert instructors who invest in developing athletes on and off the field. As we’ve continued to grow, we’ve been able to add multiple full-time baseball instructors. And now we are thrilled to be able to announce the addition of a full-time softball instructor!
Jen Sollars is now available for hitting, slapping, defense and catching lessons. She has developed a well-earned reputation as a knowledgeable coach who is deeply invested in using softball to develop athletes on and off the field. It is an understatement to say that softball is in her soul!
Jen is a Muncie native, who grew up playing in Yorktown JAA and is a Muncie Central, Ivy Tech and BSU alum. In addition, Jen:
- Played 25 years of competitive travel slow pitch
- Umpired fastpitch softball and baseball
- Coached 4 years of high school travel baseball
- Coached softball at high school and all travels levels for 15 years
- Coached 4 years in D1, D3, and NAIA on the collegiate level (BSU, Huntingdon, SMWC)
- Member of the NFCA
She continues to reside in Muncie with her dogs Cooper and Charlie.
