Josh Johnson, BSU’s softball assistant coach, returns to 5 Tool Academy for 4-week pitching academies in January.

Johnson is an experienced NCAA Division I coach with Super Regional experience. He also plays at the Major level of the North American Fastpitch Association (NAFA) since 2004 as both a pitcher and an outfielder. He was inducted into the NAFA Hall of Fame in 2013 and was the association’s MVP in 2014.

In addition to his current position as Ball State’s pitching coach, he was previously the pitching coach at the University of Texas at El Paso, University of Louisiana-Lafayette and served as the head coach at Faulkner State Community College where he achieved the most wins as a coach in the program’s history.
